Mavim iMprove

A Fresh Take on Charts: Faster, Smarter, and More Intuitive

New

We’re introducing a brand-new way of working with charts in Mavim iMprove.
The new Modern chart view offers a refreshed, intuitive visual design that makes charts easier to read and interpret.

With improved caching and faster rendering, charts and descriptions now load significantly quicker, providing a smoother and more responsive user experience.

For those who prefer the previous layout, the Classic view remains available and can be switched back at any time.

  • Why it matters

This release of Mavim iMprove introduces several usability improvements that make user and role management, navigation, and editing smoother and more intuitive.

The User Management module now follows a more logical flow, with tabs displayed as Groups, Roles, and Users. Editing groups and roles has also become faster and more direct, and additional interface refinements improve visibility and efficiency when managing large datasets or long topic pages.

  • Improved navigation order – The User Management tabs are now shown as Groups, Roles, Users, matching the natural workflow for managing access rights.
  • Simplified editing – When editing groups, it’s easier to find and assign roles or users by typing or using dropdown arrows for quick selection.
  • Faster access – You can now click directly on a group name in the user list to edit that group, or click a role in the group list to open and edit that role instantly.
  • Fixed section headers – On topic pages, section headers (including edit and save buttons) stay fixed at the top of the page while scrolling.
  • Alphabetical fieldsets – In the bulk field update feature, fieldsets are now listed alphabetically, making it faster to locate the one you need.
  • Improved workflow – The new tab order follows a more intuitive sequence for managing access.
  • Faster user management – Direct links to groups and roles save time when editing.
  • Better visibility – Fixed headers keep key controls in view during long edits.
  • Increased efficiency – Alphabetical sorting and clearer search options speed up navigation across the platform.
Mavim Process Mining

More Clarity, Fewer Clicks: Enhanced Transparency in Mavim Process Mining

New

  • The latest updates to Mavim Process Mining introduce several enhancements that improve usability and transparency when working with reference models, datasets, and reports.

The Reference Model Activity Mapping screen now includes a visual image of the reference model. This provides users with a clearer understanding of the process context and allows them to map reference model activities to dataset activities more easily, without having to open the process model in a separate view.

  • In addition, an Info button is now available on both the Dataset and Report screens. This button displays the version and creation date of the respective dataset or report, helping users assess compatibility as new versions are released by Mavim over time.

Mavim Connect Center

Seamless Collaboration: Invite External Users Directly from Mavim Connect Center

New

The latest update to the Mavim Connect Center introduces new capabilities for collaboration and feedback management.

External users can now be invited to Mavim iMprove directly from the iMprove tab in the Mavim Connect Center.

In the iMprove tab, administrators can invite external participants such as process owners, external consultants of Mavim certified partners or other stakeholders to collaborate on process reviews or approvals.

Once your organization’s custom domain is available, external users can also be invited to access the Mavim Connect Center itself.

Why it matters

  • Enable secure collaboration with external stakeholders such as consultants of Mavim certified partners in Mavim iMprove and Connect Center.

  • Simplify governance by managing invitations and permissions from one central interface.

Reuse Your Visio Diagrams: Automated BPMN Import into Mavim

BPMN Import from Visio drawings

  • Feature description

  • How it works

  • Why it matters

The BPMN Import from Visio drawings add-on allows you to extract BPMN-related data from existing Visio diagrams and convert it into a structured BPMN process model in Mavim.

It supports any Visio drawings and provides the most consistent results when using Microsoft BPMN stencils.
This capability helps organizations with an existing process portfolio or catalogue to reuse and structure process information within Mavim.

The import focuses on the process logic and relationships; the layout and visual styling can be refined in Mavim according to organizational conventions.

During the import, Mavim interprets shapes and connectors in the Visio file through automatic detection or manual mapping to BPMN topic types.

The system extracts and structures the underlying BPMN data, allowing users to immediately work with the imported content inside Mavim.

When certain shapes cannot be mapped automatically, manual mapping options ensure flexibility and accuracy.
After import, users can refine the layout, colors, and naming conventions directly in Mavim to align with their modeling standards.

Organizations often have an existing collection of Visio-based process diagrams that are valuable but difficult to maintain consistently.
With the BPMN Import from Visio drawings, these diagrams can now be reused and standardized within Mavim, helping to:

  • Reduce manual effort by automating initial BPMN topic creation.

  • Enable standardization by structuring diverse process diagrams in one consistent BPMN format.

  • Accelerate onboarding of existing process content into Mavim while maintaining modeling control.
