Product Update March 2021

We are constantly working to improve our software. The latest service release from Mavim contains many improved functionalities and new features, including:

  • This is release 10.2
  • In the Mavim Portal, when exporting a report for Power BI, the report now automatically includes extra columns with dcv-key information. These extra columns are provided with each column that contains clickable topics. This way you can hide the dcv-codes for viewers in the Portal, but still be able to use them in your Power BI dashboard based on this report.
  • Deleting versions is now improved using a background Jobs mechanism. When deleting a version, a background job is started to finish this sometimes long running process in the background.



  • When you are using a Mavim database in Access, you will now see a warning each time you open the database. Mavim will discontinue the support for Access database in future releases. Currently, you can continue to use Mavim Databases in Access, but please start investigating the use of SQL Server to be ready for the future. More information can be found here.



  • When you are using a Mavim database in Oracle, you will now see a warning each time you open the database. Mavim will discontinue the support for Oracle databases in future releases. Currently, you can continue to use Mavim Databases in Oracle, but please start investigating the use of SQL Server to be ready for the future. When you use an Mavim Database in Oracle, please update this database to SQL Server. More information can be found here.



  • When you are publishing to a Website for online use (Webserver) (Classic), you will now see a warning message. Mavim will discontinue the support for Website for online use (Webserver) (Classic) in future releases. Currently, you can continue to use this webserver software, but please start investigating the use of Mavim Portal. More information can be found here.



IMPORTANT

  • It is not necessary to upgrade the Mavim database after the installation of Mavim Manager 10.12
  • It is not necessary to upgrade the Mavim Portal database after the installation of Mavim Portal 10.12
  • The previous version of Mavim Manager can publish to this version of the Mavim Portal.
