We have improved the performance of specific database actions
When changing a hyperlink in the description screen, the character styles Bold, Italic and Underline are not overridden anymore when a description is saved or loaded. The set character styles in the description panel Options are only applied when a new hyperlink is created.
A tree selection dialog is shown to select a new parent when trying to restore a topic which could not be restored because the parent was already permanently deleted.

When moving the original of a couple copied branch topic in the tree, it sometimes created an extra couple copied topic. This has now been improved. Moving the original of a couple copied topic within the branch of the parent no longer creates an extra topic.
When using the print function from the Description screen, the quick print dialog is shown. This is the same dialog shown when using the print from the button bar.
Various database performance improvements on database actions have been made in this version.
When using the Check Fields function, the result dialog is more showing extra information when multiple owners for Mavim Portal are detected.

Fixed

We have fixed an issue where reports were not updated correct due to missing relations to fields.
When using the Check and Update Version, a relationship characteristic that was updated from a value to no value, kept its old value in the result when the check/update setting for Dropped Topics: Uncouple or To Recycle Bin was used (setting Delete worked correct). This is now resolved.

FIELD MANAGEMENT- Field usage report capability:

Why it was developed: Unnecessary fields are often created during the initial phase of projects, which can lead to a cluttered and inefficient environment. This new functionality was developed to address this problem.

Added value:

Overview: The feature provides a comprehensive overview of all existing fields in a Mavim instance, including the field sets and topics in which they are used.
Sorting and filtering: Users can sort and filter the report columns to quickly find the information they need.
Navigation: With a single click, you can see where a field has been used, and with a double click, you can navigate directly to that topic in the tree.
Cleanup: It makes it easy to clean up and delete unnecessary fields, resulting in a streamlined and efficient maintenance process.

Use case scenario:
Imagine that a project has created many different fields in the initial phase to collect data. After a while, many of these fields appear to be no longer needed, but it is unclear which fields can be safely removed without breaking the functionality. With the "field usage report capability," the user can generate an overview of all fields and see exactly where each field is used. The user can then select and remove the fields that are no longer used anywhere, cleaning up the Mavim environment and making maintenance more efficient.

The field usage report capability offers a comprehensive overview of all existing fields in a Mavim instance, including the field sets and topics they are used in. This feature allows users to sort and filter the usage report columns. Selecting a field allows the user to see where it has been used, and double-clicking navigates directly to that topic in the tree, streamlining the cleanup of unnecessary fields.

Fixed

When creating a hyperlink inside a text box an exception occurred. Adding a hyperlink inside a textbox is not supported and is now disabled.

When creating a hyperlink inside the version description, an exception occurred.
When moving a couple copied topic with a custom icon, the custom icon was removed.
DoubleClick on a relationship did not select the topic in the tree.
Pressing the Delete key in the description pane was handled by tree pane instead and deleted the topic.

We have created a new Fields Usage function to generate an overview of available fields and field sets. It shows the sets that have the selected field and the topics that use the selected field including inheritance. This overview helps to manage large amounts of fields and field sets and easily find the unused.

Export to Project is now deprecated and will be removed in a future version.

Improved

The performance of the report definition screen has been improved.
In case of many relations in the relationship screen and especially when they had a lot of items in the recycle bin with relations to a topic, the loading performance of relations in the relationships screen degraded. We have profiled the code and made several changes to improve performance.

Fixed

The spelling in subtopics function was only checking the main topic and not the subtopics. This is now resolved.
After setting permissions on a Cross Function Flowchart Definition topic, when using it and adding relations to the Cross Function Flowchart Definition you could get the exception "Failed to create relation". This has now been resolved.
When disabling the option "Chart" in Relationship Screen Options for a topic with BPMN (sub)charts, the (sub)charts are still shown in the Relationship Screen. This is now resolved.
When using Go To from the context menu on a relation in the relationship screen, the relationship pane and overview pane also navigate.

We have improved the detection extremely large matrices when publishing to the Portal.
We have improved the performance of the Empty Recycle Bin function; Emptying the Recycle Bin is now finished more quickly.

Fixed

During code maintenance, the filter option in check charts dialog removed, this is now resolved, the filter is available again.
The template was only applied to the single data language, while it was also set active to another data language. This is now resolved.

Improved

When exporting a very large version, this could fail and show: "Execution Timeout Expired". This has now been resolved by optimization of the export function.
The Batch Configuration screen now shows the disabled checkboxes more clearly.
Opening an external file is now sent to the browser to be able to download it immediately instead of showing dialog with the path.
We have removed the Active Directory Import and SQL Server Import functions from the Import menu.
The menu for Analyse has been removed from Tools tab.

Fixed

The Matrix did not show the custom icon in the column header when needed, this is now resolved.
Fixed an issue where Mavim Manager could crash when selecting or disconnecting relationships in Visio charts when the relationships panel was removed from the layout. This update ensures that charts can be edited without interruptions, regardless of panel configuration.
The opening the matrix from a hovering relationships panel, the exception: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." was shown. This is now resolved.

The Create or Select Field dialog has been updated to inform the user about the existing fields.

As Mavim Manager hosts databases over multiple regions, this was not clear when a Mavim database was opened in another region than Mavim Manager was started in. Opening a Mavim database in another region causes delay and degraded performance, the Mavim databases in another region are now filtered and a status is shown in the status bar.

When you see the message as below, please verify if the correct url is used.

When opening a report with one or more very wide topics names, horizontal scrolling was not possible.
When a Visio chart contained shapes with External Data, the publication is interrupted by a login page. We upgraded the Visio license from Standard to Professional and that resolved the issue.

Fixed

In the Batch Configuration, on the Version Definition tab, the value selected in the Filter Tab was reset after opening the tab. This caused the Filter not to be applied successful when executing the batch.

We have optimized the loading time of topics that contain a custom icon and/or relate to topics with a custom icon.
The check database functionality has been extended with a function to check the couple copied field values.

Fixed

When using Edit Fields and selecting all cells and adding or removing a multi value field value, the values of the changed topic were copied to the other selected cells. This is now resolved.
It was possible to use the clear characteristic function on a version, this is now resolved.
The Edit Fields dialog sometimes showed the cell height too large, this is now resolved.
When creating a new chart and pressing cancel in the dialog in Visio, the Mavim Manager was not resized to its original position, this is now resolved.
In some cases, when creating a version, the message: "Mavim.Manager.Server.NoRecordsAffectedException" was shown, this is now resolved.

The Check Fields function has been extended to search for multiple owners for Mavim Portal.
When creating a version which contains multiple owners for Mavim Portal an overview is shown which lists the topics involved and an option is given to continue.
Text highlighted in the description is now changed to grey when the focus on the description screen is lost.
The loading performance of the Database Audit Log has been improved.

When navigating to a topic found in the search results of the Search panel, the panel for description and fields did not navigate to the selected topic, this has now been resolved.
In the Edit Fields screen, using Ctrl-A for selection, it was not easy to de-select, this has now been resolved.
Images imported as objects did not appear in the Mavim Portal, this has now been resolved.
In a specific situation, a field set was shown in the Mavim Portal where it should not be shown, this has now been resolved.
